I have never seen this video before, but it combines baseball and patriotism quite well. Watch Rick Monday of the 1976 Chicago Cubs save the American flag from two flag-burning idiots. I must say I feel great to be an American right now despite everything that’s going on in the world.

Yes, great to be an American. And for a random thought, I think it’s pretty darn cool that we live in a place where we are made up of so many people. We’re so many of us mutts. We represent so many places. My family alone has got France, England, Poland, Scotland, Germany, and the original North American continentals running through the veins.
