More Docs Uncovered Regarding Chartered Saudi Flights

Judicial Watch uncovers even MORE documents regarding the flights out of this country that our government allowed to the damn Saudis.  It blows my mind.  All of these people we let go should have been detained indefinitely.  But instead we let them go and now we’re learning that Osama bin Laden himself might have paid for these flights?  Again, mind blowing.

Washington, DC) — Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, today released new documents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”) related to the “expeditious departure” of Saudi nationals, including members of the bin Laden family, from the United States following the 9/11 attacks.  According to one of the formerly confidential documents, dated 9/21/2001, terrorist Osama bin Laden may have chartered one of the Saudi flights.

The document states:  “ON 9/19/01, A 727 PLANE LEFT LAX, RYAN FLT #441 TO ORLANDO, FL W/ETA (estimated time of arrival) OF 4-5PM.  THE PLANE WAS CHARTERED EITHER BY THE SAUDI ARABIAN ROYAL FAMILY OR OSAMA BIN LADEN…THE LA FBI SEARCHED THE PLANE [REDACTED] LUGGAGE, OF WHICH NOTHING UNUSUAL WAS FOUND.”  The plane was allowed to depart the United States after making four stops to pick up passengers, ultimately landing in Paris where all passengers disembarked on 9/20/01, according to the document.

By all means, watch the video that is linked in JW’s press release, which brings me to my next question of why I haven’t heard about this through any major media outlet?  Is this news just not important at all?  Am I just overreacting?

As far as Bush letting those chartered flights fly when Judicial Watch thinks they should have been grounded, I don’t have a position one way or the other. It obviously seems like they should have been grounded, but Bush is pretty G.D. solid when it comes to the defense of this country so I’m willing to give him leeway on this issue (not with immigration, education, and a few other issues however). Kind of like the Dubai Ports Deal, sure the knee jerk reaction is “Arabs running our ports! Is Bush out of his mind?” But when we dissected that issue it turned out that Dubai Ports World wouldn’t have anything to do with the security of the ports, just with running the day-to-day operations. So I’m willing to hold my knee back with Bush when it comes to national security.

I am curious how the flight could have been charted by OBL or the Saudi royal family. They don’t really get along if I remember correctly, so how can they get mixed up?

I think this has more to do with the incompetence of the FBI and the U.S. bending over backwards for our “friends” the Saudis.

I would agree with Chris Farrell (watch the video) that each of these Middle Easterners we let out of the country should have been interviewed for a couple hours each, instead of the cursory questioning they seem to have gotten.
